At Long Island Fencers Club, our mission is to provide a platform for children to come together, have fun, and promote health and wellbeing through our camps and clinics. Sports can create a sense of community and fellowship.
The Long Island Fencers' Club stands as a beacon of excellence. It is the most celebrated and nationally recognized Long Island Fencing Club for its inclusive programming. We take pride in our multiple grants from USA Fencing and All Kids Play, a testament to our commitment to providing top-quality programs.
At the Long Island Fencers' Club, the safety of our members is paramount. Our coaching staff are registered with USA Fencing and undergo thorough criminal background checks. They also receive comprehensive training in recognizing and preventing child abuse from SafeSport. We maintain an open-door policy, inviting parents to visit our camps and clinics at any time, further ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our members.
At the Long Island Fencers' Club, we provide the best resources for our members. Our extensive inventory of physical conditioning equipment includes a wide range of items, from basketball courts and professional basketballs to dumbbells, high-end jump ropes, and physical tic tac toe. We also offer plyometric boxes, slam balls, rubber bands, weighted holla hoops, agility cones and ladders, various hurdles, volleyball games, bosu balls, and more, ensuring a diverse range of activities for everyone.
The Long Island Fencers' Club provides each student with a complete fencing uniform and equipment for the duration of the camp. Campers are not required to purchase additional equipment. Students must wear T-shirts, shorts, sweatpants, and long socks to camp and have a water bottle.
During our lunch break, students are encouraged to engage with each other through checkers and chess games, further stimulating intellectual growth. Students are required to bring snacks, drinks, and lunches each day to camp.
Novice and experienced campers ages six to seventeen can join our Summer Camp programs. Campers are grouped by age and/or ability to provide each attendee with the best learning experience.
Summer Camps are $450 per week, not including before or aftercare. Each week of camp is separate and not predicated on a prior camp. The Olympic Sport of Fencing offers Epee, Foil, and Sabre disciplines. During the first week of attendance, campers new to the sport are introduced to Foil. If they choose to attend subsequent camps, they receive instruction on the second weapon of their choice.
